Rossbach Guilty Of Aiding An Offender

A Beltrami County jury has found Brandon Rossbach, 32, guilty of aiding an offender in the death of Bemidji’s Rose Downwind. Rossbach was accused of helping Marchello Cimmarusti burn and bury the body of Rose Downwind. Cimmarusti had previously confessed to murdering Downwind and said Rossbach helped him move Downwind’s body to a location north of Bemidji where they burned and buried it.

The jury decided Rossbach did not actively participate in the burning or burying of the body but that the family did suffer emotional distress caused by Rossbach. Rossbach sent the family text messages from Downwind’s phone posing as Downwin after Downwind was dead.
