Roseau Deputy Placed on Leave After Accusation of Shooting up Cabin

Roseau County Deputy Sheriff Joshua McGurran Olson has been placed on administrative leave after being accused of “shooting up” a hunting cabin and burning the gun, the Forum News Service reports.

The Roseau County Sheriff’s Office have not released further information on the case, but the Forum News Service reports The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension started their investigation early March after a cabin owner reported suspicion against Olson for the damages to his hunting cabin.

The Forum News Service reports the complaint shows Olson “eventually admitted shooting up” the man’s cabin.

Olson was charged in a district court with first-degree damage to property, a felony, and falsely reporting crime, a misdemeanor.
