Remer Man Faces 10 Counts Of Criminal Sexual Conduct

A Remer man is facing 10 felony charges of criminal sexual conduct after he reportedly sexually assaulted a 4-year-old girl.

Jacob John White, 32, has been charged with 10 counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct in the First and Second Degrees for events that occurred around August and September 2016, the Cass County attorney reports.

According to the complaint, White engaged in several acts of sexual penetration and contact with the 4-year-old girl.

White is charged with Criminal Sexual Conduct in the Fifth Degree pertaining to the attempted removal of clothing from a 13-year-old female in 2014, the complaint states.

The cases are being investigated by the Leech Lake Police Department, with the assistance of the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension.

White was arraigned in Cass County District Court on Oct. 13, when unconditional bail was set at $80,000 and conditional bail was set at $40,000.
Additional conditions, if bail is posted, include that he not have any contact with the victims or their residences, no contact with children under the age of 18, no consumption or possession of any alcohol or controlled substances, provide a test sample to determine the presence of alcohol or controlled substances, remain law-abiding, not leave the State of Minnesota without the Court’s permission, not possess any firearms or other dangerous weapons, be placed on electronic alcohol monitoring, and comply with requirements of the pre-trial supervision program.
White’s next court appearance is schedule for Monday, Oct. 17.
