Red Lake Sobriety Run To Return

The Red Lake Band of Chippewa will host an annual sobriety run at the beginning of August.

This event is all about spreading the message of recovery and healthy lifestyles. It is a collaborative effort between the Red Lake, Leech Lake, White Earth and Fond du Lac tribes.

indexAfter an opening ceremony, runners will go from Red Lake to a celebration of sobriety powwow on the Fond du Lac reservation.

Over the last 20 years, thousands of people have taken part in the run. It is open to everyone.

The opening ceremony will take place at 9 a.m. on August 3 at the Red Lake powwow grounds.
