Red Lake Nation College hosted their annual community wellness gathering recently, where registered visitors were able to take part in a two-day gathering.

During “Pathways to Recovery,” workshops focused on medication and drug recoveries. There were 14 various workshop sessions that took place on the first gathering day of June 15, with a lunch break and guest speakers in between. On the second gathering day of June 16, there were 14 more workshops ranging from drug identifications, recovery care options, and traditional teachings.

Some of these workshops welcomed law enforcement leadership from the Red Lake Police Department, the Bemidji Police Department, and the FBI to speak on the opioid epidemic.
