Red Lake Nation Capitol Grand Opening

Monday marked the grand opening for the Red Lake Indian Nation’s new capital grounds.

It includes a new tribal college building as well and a government building, and both have eagle or migizi statues on the front.

These statues are the largest to be attached to a building anywhere in the world.

The celebration also included a mini pow-wow, and a community feast sponsored by the tribal council.
