Red Lake, MN – Beltrami County Commissioner Timothy Sumner is seeking reelection to the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners, and Jerald Loud is seeking the office of State Representative District 2A.

District 4 Beltami County Commissioner Sumner won his seat on the Beltrami County Board in November 2012. He was the youngest person, at age 28, to ever be elected to the County Board.

If reelected, Sumner will be the Chairman of the Beltrami County Board of Commissioners and have a larger role in setting the county agenda.

Some of the issues he’s addressed includes drug abuse, race relations, and veterans services.

Loud, a Red Lake member who was born and raised in Bemidji, is looking to bring a fresh voice to the Minnesota House. He graduated form Bemidji State University with a bachelor’s degree in Indian studies and is also a 10-year veteran of the United States Navy.

His priorities include education, economic development, technology, veteran affairs, and environmental issues.
