Police React to Recent Shootings

Police are becoming more vigilant after a string of recent shootings shook America. The deaths of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile resulted in backlash from communities across the nation. Much of the unrest seems to be coming from racial tensions. Five police officers were killed during a rally last week in Dallas. In response to this, officials in northern Minnesota say they are keeping an eye out for their own protection.

While sheriffs in Cass County and Beltrami County say they are telling their officers to be wary, they believe the relationship they have with their respective communities is strong.
