Police Ask For Public’s Assistance With Smash-And-Grab Burglaries

The Bemidji Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating suspects involved in a string of smash and grab burglaries.

Over the past month and a half Bemidji area businesses have been on edge as a string of sporadic smash and grab burglaries have taken place. Detectives with the Bemidji Police Department have been investigating various leads and now are asking for the public’s help by releasing security camera images from the burglaries.

Business owners are advised to take particular caution while the same method of breaking glass to enter the building has been used in all the cases. While stolen items range from alcohol and video games, more recent burglaries have raised more concern over the theft of firearms.

If you have any information or recognize anyone in the security camera images you are asked to call Detective Sergeant Dave LaZella at 218-333-8396.
