Pedestrian Hit, Killed by Car Near Mahnomen

A pedestrian was hit and killed by a car near Mahnomen this morning.

The Mahnomen County Sheriff’s Office has not released any names but says the pedestrian was a male who was found lying in the ditch near the intersection of Highway 59 and 160th Avenue, about two miles south of Mahnomen.

According to a press release from the Sheriff’s Office, the driver of the vehicle has been identified and is in custody.
