Paul Bunyan Trail extends to Crow Wing State Park

Cyclists and rollerblades have a new trail to explore. The Minnesota Department of Natural Recourses Parks and Trails Division extended the Paul Bunyan Trail another 6.5 miles south to connect to the Crow Wing State Park.

The $1.2 million dollar project consisted of an additional 552 acres to complete the extension The Paul Bunyan Trail now connects the Crow Wing State Park in Brainerd to Bemidji Lake State Park in Bemidji.
The new trail extension not only offers new scenery, but also a smoother path for bikers and bladers to explore.

Crow Wing State Park says they’ve already seen an increase of campers biking into to town.

With the new extension the Paul Bunyan Trail is 120 miles long, the longest state trail in Minnesota.
