One-Vehicle Rollover Near Hackensack Leads to Fatality

Cass County Sheriff Tom Burch reported that on Saturday, April 16, 2016 at 8:02 p.m., the Cass County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a single-vehicle crash on County Road 5, near the intersection with County Road 46, east of Hackensack, Minn., in Birch Lake Township.

Responders and Deputies arrived to find a 2006 Subaru was travelling east on County Road 5, when it left the roadway and rolled. The driver, Mark Renstrom, 46, of Robbinsdale, Minn., was located deceased at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation with the assistance of the Minnesota State Patrol. Assisting the Sheriff’s Office at the scene was the Hackensack First Response and Fire Department, North Ambulance and the Minnesota State Patrol.
