Omnibus Hearing Rescheduled for Rachel Downer

New details on Rachel Downer, the 22-year-old suspect charged for the death of her 6-year-old Bemidji girl that died from hypothermia in February.

Downer appeared in court today once again for her omnibus hearing, but it was rescheduled. Downer’s attorney asked for the hearing to be rescheduled because they are still gathering information related to the case.

Downer faces a felony charge of second degree manslaughter for the death of Mercedes Mayfield, who was found frozen outside an apartment complex on Carter Circle.

Downer’s hearing has been rescheduled twice before, but she will appear in court again on June 16th.
