Olive Garden In Baxter Announces It Will Close At End Of The Month

The Olive Garden restaurant in Baxter recently announced that they will be closing their doors at the end of the month.

According to restaurant officials, the business and customer base in the Brainerd Lakes Area was not what they had hoped it would be when they opened. The restaurant opened their doors in Baxter in 2012 at the intersection of Highway 371 and Glory Road. The building that the restaurant occupied is just under 7,500 square feet and will be put up for sale.

“I got a daughter-in-law that just loves it. She lives in Maine and every time she comes she’s here. A lot of people feel really bad about it. I just talked to a neighbor and she said, ‘we’ll just miss it terribly,’” said customer Alice Wroolie.

Sunday, March 31 will be the restaurant’s final day of operation.
