The Forest History Center in Grand Rapids gave kids the opportunity to test their logging skills at the “Children’s Lumberjack Day” event. Kids worked the pull saw, set the table in the mess hall, held a spitting contest, and tested their strength and balance in tug-of-war. All the fun occurred in the setting of a 1900 logging camp.
