NTSB Releases Preliminary Report For Deadly Pine River Airplane Crash

The National Transportation Safety Board or NTSB released their preliminary report for the plane crash that killed two people in Pine River saying the plane could have been going as slow as 20mph and barely got over the tree line.
The NTSB report says the plane went into a nosedive shortly after take and even at that slow of a speed the pilot John Witt wouldn’t have had that much time to correct the plane in a nosedive. Witt’s friends say he was a skilled pilot and also was a certified airplane mechanic and certified inspector.
Also onboard the 1940 aircraft was 32-year-old Stacy Sundquist of Pine River. And her friend and coworker will remember her as a very caring individual, especially as a certified nursing assistant.
The NTSB report also says the wings were wobbling back and forth as the plane was taking off. Witt blanked the plane to the left shortly after crossing Highway 1, which is when it went into a nosedive before hitting the ground.
