Northwoods Adventure – Watercross

The sounds of snowmobiles can mean only one or two things… it’s the middle of winter, or, it’s the Wet & Wild Weekend at Brainerd International Raceway. Riding snowmobiles usually requires snow, but come summertime, all riders need is a little water. And unlike in the wintertime, the water is completely unfrozen. So, one false move by the driver, and their snowmobile may be dunked. Because of the lackluster winter with little snow, the riders were unable to use the sleds as much as they wanted. But racers and fans agree, summer is better. Watercross first got its start in 1977. It’s quickly grown with many stops in Minnesota. And they hope to keep the sport growing.
