The Warrior River Run provides interesting opportunities for runners.
First and foremost runners make their way along the Mississippi River in Camp Ripley.
The run also allows people to be true to their school.
The money raised goes to the Brainerd Public Schools Foundation.
The event gathers about 100 runners with the options of running or walking a 10k or 5k.
The sandy surfaces can make the race appear even longer.
Incredibly, Brainerd 12 year-old Jameson Folden wins the “19 and under” bracket and finishes 2nd overall in the 10k.
