Northwoods Adventure: Warm Temperatures at Mount Ski Gull

With the warm temperatures, outdoor winter activities have been limited. The same goes for Mount Ski Gull in Brainerd who is known for it’s skiing, snowboarding, and tubing. Our Chelsie Brown has more on this weeks Northwoods Adventure.

Four inches of snow is perfect for the slopes at Mount Ski Gull, but the lack of snow has slowed down business.

December 4th was their first opening day, but Due to the warm temperatures, the resort had to close its doors.

This weekend marked their reopening of 3 out of the 7 trails offered and their team is working their snow making machines around the clock as long as the temperatures allow.

The perfect temperature is around 26 degrees to keep the machines running. But all the resources used to make the snow adds up.

All activities are currently open, and the crew is ready to see guests back on the hills.
