The Miller Black Bear Area Trail is now open to the public as a multiple use recreational trail. Whether its riding ATV’s, horseback riding, mountain biking, and more, the trail was established to provide diverse recreation opportunities to people of all ages, while preserving Crow Wing County’s natural areas.

The Crow Wing County Land Services Department alongside the Cuyuna Iron Range Riders ATV Club hosted a grand opening ceremony of the Miller Black Bear Area Trail this weekend.

And it’s been a long time coming for Irish and his club to finally have a designated area to ride.

One of the highly admired values of the club is being family orientated which was an even bigger effort to establish this area.

The day was celebrated with a few words of excitement followed by a ribbon cutting ceremony to confirm that the trail was officially open.

And once the ribbon cutting ceremony was complete, it was time to hit the trails.

I got a chance to ride along and see some of the twenty-mile long trail along with its scenic beauty right along the Mississippi River; something that Cuyuna Iron Range Riders ATV Club hopes that the community can enjoy as well.

And it seems their efforts have paid off, paving a new trail designated to riding their vehicles.

I to a member of the cuyuna iron range riders and property owner on both sides of the trail system I use to ride theses areas back in 1976 and have worked along side of all the members along with my daughters and my 8 grandchildren from moving cutting trees picking up rocks mowing and weed whipping I also go out and talk to business es in the local area and council townships and cities in the area to gain respect and dialog sponsorship with great success. Thanks to them we do have the right to ride. We are an inclusive not exclusive trail system. Come and check it out . be respectful of the area so all can enjoy thank you
