On a weekend where hope springs eternal for fishermen trying to catch the big one, the kids weren’t to be outdone. For the first time, the Lil’ Frys dropped a line in a tournament all their own. And the big winner on the day was six-year-old Konner Engholm, who caught a 15.5-inch bullhead for biggest fish. And although winning one of the $200 prizes here would be nice, everyone agrees that it’s more about getting to spend time with your loved ones doing something you all love to do. The first installment of the Lil’ Fry’s event brought in over 30 kids, and they hope to continue to grow that in the years to come
