Northwoods Adventure: It’s Not All About Catching the Big One at the Ice Fishing Extravaganza

The fish were not biting for some anglers at the 26th Annual Ice Fishing Extravaganza, but that hasn’t stopped them from coming back for numerous years.

Verville and her group couldn’t be missed due to their large hand made contraption.

And this year the addition of a game proved to be a big hit.

Out a bit further near water about sixty feet deep, first timer Koby Rohloff was keeping himself busy. Along with long time attendee Bob Steinhoff.

Although he’s been fishing on Gull Lake for 35 years, the tournament has never brought him luck.

Catching fish may be the way to earn prizes, but it’s not the reason these long time goers are hooked to this event.
