Northwoods Adventure: International Jiu-Jitsu Champions

Two individuals from Black Arrow Martial Arts in Brainerd have become international champions. They each claimed their titles in December when they competed in the International Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Federation Kids Pan American Championships.

Bringing back the gold hardware after training for about three months for the highest level Kid’s Jiu-Jitsu tournament in the world, has been nothing short of numerous congratulations for thirteen year old Meadow Christensen and eight year old Lukas Lind.

For Christensen, this was her second go around at a title like this, where she didn’t fall short.

And for Lind he added another title to his family, with his Dad already capturing a Pan-American Championship in the sport.

Watching all their hard work pay off has also been rewarding for their coaches.

Being able to compete with teams of hundreds shows the dedication they have instilled in their program at Black Arrow Martial Arts.

And both Christensen and Lund say they aren’t done adding more heavy metal to their collections.
