Northwoods Adventure – Indoor Disc Golf

The Brainerd/Baxter Youth Center was founded in 2009, and is commonly referred to as TheShop. Needing a break from the cold weather, TheShop hosted a disc golf tournament on Saturday, but this one was a little different. The contest was all about the short game, and how you could adapt indoors.

While many associate disc golf as an outdoor activity, Saturday’s tournament was just a way for those to be able to play when they normally wouldn’t be able to. The event was used as a fundraiser to help benefit TheShop, as well as a time to just have a good time with friends.

The tournament Saturday was a good way relieve some winter time blues, but many say they’re ready for nice weather to be able to disc golf outside.
