Northwoods Adventure: Garrison Play Days

On any given weekend, Mille Lacs Lake is the biggest draw for locals and tourists in Garrison. But this past weekend, everyone was flocking to the Garrison Play Days. Hosted by the local VFW, the event has been going strong for 20 years, right in the heart of the small town. This year’s event featured numerous activities including a softball and volleyball tournament, and not even bad weather could keep the crowds away. And many make it a family event. And with 20 years already past, they say they’re looking forward to the next 20.
