Northwoods Adventure-Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival

The 3rd annual Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Festival drew bicyclists of all ages and abilities to Ironton. 70 racers pushed themselves to the limit in the Miner’s Mountain Cross Country Race. The challenging event divided riders into three classes: the 7 miles beginner, the 14 miles sport, and the 21 miles expert classes. The experts rode their own course while the beginners and sport riders shared a course. The event raised money for the Cuyuna Lakes Chamber of Commerce and the Cuyuna Lakes Mountain Bike Crew that takes care of the trails. We speak with the winners of the sport and expert races in this “Northwoods Adventure.”
