Northwoods Adventure: A Breezy Ice Fest in Breezy Point
Days out from Ice Fest in Breezy Point, there were concerns of weather or not the ice would be ready for the festivities that weekend. The show did go on and guests were greeted with chillier temperatures than expected.
It was a sunny yet windy day at the 21st annual ice fest in Breezy Point where the ice was finally in good condition for all the activities planned that day.
Temperatures were finally catching up to true Minnesota winter weather and natives weren’t necessarily ready for it to be that cold.
Some had been there since around nine thirty in the morning bearing the chilly temperatures competing in the pond hockey tournament. But sticking it out through the cold proved to be worth the title of pond hockey champions.
And fun and entertainment was the only thing that mattered that day. The Dockside restaurant may have been a little more crowded inside, but guests still enjoyed all the ice events still offered.
