Northwoods Adventure: 10th Annual North Country Hiking Fest

The Appalachian Trail may be the most renowned hiking trail in the country, but the longest national scenic trail remains right here in our backyards.

The North Country Trail spans through seven states, 12 national forests and dozens of state parks, including Itasca State Park. The 4,600 mile long trail begins in North Dakota and expands all the way to Vermont.

And the goal of the 10-year running North Country Hiking Fest is to encourage both hiking enthusiasts and those interested to step out into the Northwoods.
