Nisswa Seeks Community Input for Comprehensive Plan Update

Nisswa, MN – The city is developing a new Comprehensive Plan and is seeking community input to help create community-developed goals and aspirations to guide future planning efforts.

A comprehensive plan is a way to strategically map out the community’s vision for the future and figure out how to reach that vision. Comprehensive planning is important for cities to guide future development of land to ensure a safe, pleasant, and economical environment for residential, commercial, industrial, and public activities.

The city encourages all Nisswa area residents, business owners, community groups, students, artists and others to participate in either community open houses, online surveys, walking tours, round-table and other discussions to provide feedback.

This month a steering committee will collaborate with the involved stakeholders to ensure that the community aspirations and concerns are understood and considered.

For updates and details about the Comprehensive Plan process, including the project’s timeline and ways to participate, follow the city’s website link: CityofNisswa.com.
