Nisswa Chamber Accepting Nominations For 2019 Citizen Of The Year

The Nisswa Chamber of Commerce has announced that they are currently accepting nominations for the 2019 Citizen of the Year award.

According to a release, nominees should be outstanding servants of Nisswa, demonstrating passion and commitment toward the betterment of their community. Those nominated do not need to be members of the chamber, nor do they need to be citizens of Nisswa. Summer residents also qualify.

The Nisswa Chamber of Commerce has recognized 30 outstanding individuals as Nisswa Citizen of the Year for their contributions to the community.

Those interested in nominating a candidate should submit a written letter, postmarked no later than Monday, April 29, 2019. The letter should state the core reasons in suggesting the nominee to be this year’s winner. The writer must also submit his or her own address and telephone number.

Letters and contact information should be mailed to 2019 Nisswa Citizen of the Year Selection Committee, c/o Nisswa Chamber of Commerce, PO Box 185, Nisswa, MN 56468.

The winner will be selected by a committee consisting of three past Citizens of the Year winners and two Nisswa Chamber Board members. The 2019 Nisswa Citizen of the Year will be recognized at the Nisswa Chamber Spring Membership Dinner, at Cragun’s Legacy Golf Course, Thursday, May 16, 2019.
