Nisswa American Legion Hosts Easter Egg Hunt

Over 300 people came to attend the Nisswa American Legion Easter Egg Hunt Saturday. It’s a tradition spanning four decades. The free event allowed kids 12 and under a chance the collect as many Easter Eggs as they could find, while connecting the community with American Legion.

There were about 1,500 eggs hidden in the grass, in fence posts and throughout the woods. It took the crew over 4 hours to fill the plastic eggs with candy and coins, and then another 40 minutes to hide all the eggs. All the eggs, candy and money were donated. And one volunteer even hand painted two wooden eggs, one like the American Flag and the other like a minion.

After all the Easter Eggs were found everyone was treated to a meal donated by the Nisswa American Legion.

It took the Easter Egg hunters about 10 minutes to uncover all the eggs hiding spots. And with a little help from the Easter Bunny, the kids got an early start to their Easter.
