Night To Unite Brings People Together in Park Rapids

Helicopters, horses, and hundreds of people…Hubbard County’s 5th Annual Night to Unite gives locals a chance to take a stand against crime. The community event allows law enforcement and emergency services to get together and show the community what they have to offer.

People packed Heartland Park Tuesday night to get to know the men and women behind the badge. Law enforcement officers tear down barriers by letting people get up close and personal with their equipment and interacting with them on positive terms. Sheriff Cory Aukes says, “We’re not at their house knocking on the door for whatever reason. They get to come here and we get to interact with them, meet them, shake their hands, and it’s a great deal.”

Night to Unite has a bunch of different activities like a canine demonstration, dunk tank, and drunk goggles display. This year the Hubbard County Sheriff’s Office, Park Rapids Police Department, local Fire Department, and many more participated in the event.
