Out with the old, and in with the new. That’s the motto at Dondelinger Automotive in Brainerd for the New Year. Dondelinger’s Internet Sales Manager, Chad Hartwig says “this time of year, the factory is looking to get rid of all the ‘14’s that are remaining on the lots, and they usually throw the best incentives of the year out right now.”

Couple that with and other dealership discounts, and you might just have a pretty good reason to buy a car. “The deals right now are just awesome for the end of the year, we’re running everything through January 6th here,” said Brain Larson, Dondelinger’s Sales Manager. “The manufacturer’s rebates are great, our discounts are unbelievable, and I tell you with gas prices and stuff like that, the deals have been great.” Hartwig then went on to say “we’ve got some cars that are as much as $10,000 off, they’re pretty incredible when you think about it.”

But with manufacturers trying to get their 2014 models off the lot, dealers say now is the perfect time to buy. Larson says “right now it’s just a great time to buy. Gas prices are just a small part of it; the big equation is manufacturer’s incentives. The incentives are great; we have quotas we have to meet so we have deep, deep discounts.”

And with gas prices on the decline, they say it just makes sense to pull the trigger now. “If it’s $40 to fill up your truck as opposed to $85, the average couple’s probably got a couple hundred extra dollars a month in their pocket,” exclaimed Hartwig. “It just makes more financial sense.”
