New Pedestrian Bridge At The State Fair

Another sign that the Great Minnesota Get Together is just around the corner.

Workers used a large crane to hoist a new pedestrian bridge into place over Como Avenue in preparation for the Minnesota State Fair. Officials said it took only a half hour to complete the project.

The bridge connects the east and west Como parking lots to the State Fairgrounds next to Warner Coliseum. The Minnesota State Fair starts Thursday morning and goes through Labor Day.
