News Conference to Discuss Heroin Problem in Central Minnesota to Be Discussed March 16

The Minnesota Department of Public Safety (MDPS) and local law enforcement will be holding a news conference at 1 p.m. March 16 to discuss the growing heroin problem and recent deaths in Central Minnesota.

News Conference to Discuss Heroin Problems Set for March 16The news conference will be held at the Beltrami Country Law Enforcement Center, 613 Minnesota Ave. N.W., Bemidji.

According to a recent press release from MDPS, heroin seizures have increased 125% statewide since 2011. A number of recent deaths has residents and law enforcement concerned the problem may worsen.
