New Brewery to Open in Brainerd

A new brewery is coming to Brainerd. Located in the Clock Tower of the Northern Pacific Center, the soon-to-be Roundhouse Brewery aims provide locally crafted beers set in a unique historic setting.

And that little something new is a craft brewery. It’s been over 100 years since a brewery has been in Brainerd and the Roundhouse Brewery plans to fill that absence.

With surrounding breweries located in Baxter and two in Nisswa, the company wants their addition to be a collaborative effort for a destination to learn more about the beer making process.

To relate to the city’s history, the name Roundhouse Brewery was chosen due to the location of the old roundhouse that was used for trains to enter onto a turntable.

Starting with an empty building, to approval of a liquor zone in October, everything seems to be falling into place.

With their progress the developers feel they can already taste the beer.
