A groundbreaking ceremony will be held on Monday for a new affordable housing apartment complex in Bemidji. The space is expected to be completed by November 2017, according to a press release.

The Center City Housing complex will include 40 single room units for chronic alcoholics and 20 efficiency apartments for the recently homeless.

The $7.5M building is being developed by Center City Housing Corp and designed by LHB Architects. It will be built by Kraus-Anderson, a construction company headquartered in Minneapolis with a regional office in Bemidji.

A ceremony will be held at the site at 11:30 A-M on Monday, December 12.
