Nevis boys’ basketball, the fifth-ranked team in Class AA, came into Tuesday’s game undefeated. They were hosting Pine River-Backus, who entered 3-1.

Nevis went on to win the Battle of the Tigers over Pine River-Backus 94-70. They’re now 3-0 to start the year, while PR-B drops to 3-2.
