Motel May Aid Bemidji Homeless Population

The Bridge Project is a Bemidji group that’s actively looking to make an impact in helping the local homeless population.

They’re looking to purchase the old Northern Motel, a building located near the Bemidji Airport. The closed facility holds over 100 rooms, as well as a kitchen and event area. The project team sees potential for a rehabilitation center here.

The purchase is not yet final, and the board is still looking at options, but state agencies and local donors could help them raise the over $2 million they need to purchase the building.
