Moose May Be Added To Endangered Species List

The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is considering adding a species of moose found in Minnesota to the list of endangered species.

According to the agency, the northwestern subspecies known as alces alces andersoni, which is usually found in Michigan, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and North Dakota is currently under their scrutiny.

The service is opening a 60-day comment period, where the public can offer up information that would help them determine whether the species should be added to the list of threatened or endangered species.
