MNSure Enrollment’s Under Way

2015 open enrollment for MnSure has begun. This is the second year of the Affordable Care Act’s mandated healthcare coverage And it’s time for Minnesotans to renew or get their coverage to be ready for the New Year.
The biggest change to this year’s MNSure is the absence of one of the largest low-cost providers PreferedOne. However, Ballou says she’s seeing other companies fill the void PreferedOne left behind.
One of the biggest fears during this year’s election was that health insurance rates were going to skyrocket. While many public plans have seen little change, the private plans could see the largest increase during this year’s enrollment.
Ballou says before you accept your employer’s coverage to compare the cost to your salary. If your healthcare premiums are 9.5% or more then you can switch to a more affordable plan on the MNSure site.
