Minnesota’s Unemployment Hits 8 Year Low

Minnesota’s unemployment rate is it’s lowest in 8 years. It’s a sign that the economy is back and Brainerd Lakes Area businesses say they’re having problems finding workers to fill their job openings. With jobs increasing some companies especially resorts don’t just look locally to hire.
Local staffing agency, Employment Resource Center, says the employee pool is so low that companies have to compete against each other to fill their job opening.
Minnesota’s unemployment rate is 3.9% with the biggest job growth in transportation, education, health services and manufacturing.
