There is less than a week left for Minnesotans to register to vote for the Nov. 8 elections.

- At least 18 years old on Election Day.
- A resident of Minnesota for 20 days.
- Finished with all parts of any felony sentence.
Online
You can register to vote online using the MN Secretary of State’s Online Voter Registration Application.
In addition to meeting the eligibility requirements listed above, you must also:
- Provide a valid e-mail address.
- Provide an identification number. This might be:
- Your MN driver’s license number.
- Your MN state ID card number.
- The last 4 digits of your Social Security number.
By Mail
To register by mail, download and complete the Minnesota Voter Registration Application.
The form is designed so that when you fold it, the return address is already printed for you.
Visit the state’s Voter Registration Applications section if you need another a special version of the form (e.g., a large print version or one in another language).
In Person
Using the same Minnesota Voter Registration Application, you can register in person at your local county elections office or at the polls on Election Day.
For more information, you can reach the Minnesota Secretary of State’s office at 1-877-600-VOTE (8683) or contact your county election office.
Minnesota broke its record for the most online voter registrations in a single week in September, thanks at least in part to a Facebook campaign, the New York Times reported.
