Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter Catches Suspect Outside of Brainerd

Brainerd, Minn. – The Crow Wing County Sheriff’s Office pursued a suspect on foot around 9:40 a.m on Sunday.

The suspect fled from a residence on 5 Mile Road east of Brainerd.

According to the Brainerd Dispatch, “The 31-year-old male suspect, who had an outstanding warrant for contempt of court, ran into a nearby swamp, Sgt. Andy Bradley of the sheriff’s office said.”

The Minnesota State Patrol Helicopter was in the area for an unrelated call at the beginning of the pursuit. The suspect was apprehended about an hour later.

The Brainerd police department and a state patrol officer on the ground was also able to assist.
