Minnesota Resort and Campground Operators Talk Tourism Trends
Between all of the lakes, resorts, and campgrounds, the $12.5 billion dollar tourism industry is vital to the success of northern Minnesota. More than 100 people attended the Minnesota Resort and Campground Association conference in Grand Rapids today to talk tourism with some of the industry’s leaders. Most resort owners say turning off technology and being unplugged is a key part of the resort experience, but a hot topic at today’s conference was the impact of social media. With millions of impressions on various digital platforms, resort owners admit social media is very much a part of the new northwoods experience.
