Minnesota credit unions inviting into local communites

Helping the community do more than just store their money. Local credit unions have made themselves an intregal part of the local community.
Credit unions are not for profile financial cooperative. They have elected volunteer board of directs that allows the members to have the control.
Minnesota has over 400 credit unions serving over 1.6 million members. About 63,000 members joined last year. And the Minnesota Credit Union Network says one of the main reasons for the growth is their involvement in the community.
The majority of credit unions also educate their current members to help them become more financially more secure including helping them raise their credit score.
Educating the customer about their finances is one of the many ways local credit unions are Minnesota minded.
