Million Watt Dragster

For the first time ever at Brainerd International Raceway, an electric dragster takes the track. Zachary Vex’s “Frankenstein 2” runs up to one million watts. The crew makes a number of runs, increasing slowly from 1,000 amps up to 2,700 amps. Weather delays do not allow Frankenstein 2 an attempt at breaking ten seconds on the quarter mile on this trip to Brainerd, but the crew hopes to try again later this month.
