Man Pleads Guilty To Aiding An Offender In The Rose Downwind Case

A St. Paul man pleaded guilty Tuesday to aiding an offender in connection to the murder of Rose Downwind.

28- year- old Christopher John Davis of St. Paul, told the court on Tuesday that he helped Marchello Cimmarusti, transport the body of Rose Downwind to a location west of Bemidji, dig a hole, burn and bury the body, and later send a text message from Downwind’s personal phone to her mother to make it appear Downwind was alive and in St. Paul.

Back in April, 40- year- old Marchello Cimmarusti pleaded guilty to one charge of second-degree intentional murder and admitted to killing 31- year- old Rose Downwind.

Christopher Davis will return to court where he will be sentenced on August 30^th.
