Man Faces Charges Following Wadena Drug Bust
A man is facing criminal charges after a drug bust recently occurred in Wadena.
According to the Forum News Service, the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension alerted the Wadena County Sheriff’s Office about a suspicious package that was getting mailed to a Wadena address from Arizona. The intended recipient, as authorities learned through an investigation, had no association with the address.
A search warrant was executed, and authorities discovered four pounds of methamphetamine inside of the package.
After a controlled delivery on May 13, authorities took 27-year-old Michael Gino-Laden Ricks into custody. The Hanover Park, Ill., man faces a charge of first degree possession of a controlled substance.
Ricks first appeared in court on Monday morning. He is held at the Wadena County Jail on $500,000 bail or bond without conditions.
