Man Charged for Encounter with Two Minors

Grand Forks., – Eric Jon Larson, 41, has been charged with disorderly conduct after an encounter with two minors.

According to Grand Forks Police on Sunday afternoon on 2400 block of 10th Avenue North in Grand Forks, Larson began a conversation with two young boys.

One of the boys’ father overheard the conversation, had the children go home, and called the police.

The exact conversation between Larson and the children is still being investigated.

“Initially they [the parents] made a report of a possible attempted child abduction,” said Lt. Bill Macki. “At this point, that’s unclear, if there was a specific request for the kids to follow. But the subject was offering the kids money and so forth. It certainly was concerning to the parents.”

Larson’s charge carries a maximum sentence of 30 days in jail.
